This is exactly what I'm referring to. That README (nice, indeed) is
hidden into the /usr/src tree. I think that it should be transformed
in a tutorial, handbook chapter, or perhaps a FAQ (I mean, the answer
to a new FAQ :-) ).

BTW, I have enabled softupdates and it works fine. No problems.
