I know the ethercard works with -RELEASE, : it's just getting -R on the machine, which without working cdrom or : ethernet support (for xe0) in the generic kernel presents a problem. The cdrom won't work with 3.4 release. It might work with 4.0 release. But xe won't. I've not backported the large mass of changes I (and others) have made to 5.0 to 4.x yet. I have an unoffical deadline of May 15. But a contract I have must have this driver by then, so maybe it will be after since I'm doing that after hours and work is being busy.
