Reproduced it here also, it hung right after displaying
kern.devstat.version: 4

I couldn't telnet into the box to restart it, I had to hit the reset
switch.

cvsupped and sources up to date as of:
FreeBSD 4.3-STABLE #0: Sun May 27 14:23:06 EDT 2001
