It patches nicely here - it will be a local problem on your system.
Make sure you run `make clean` before trying to compile it, and that
your /usr/ports/lang/python/files contains exactly the same files as
http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/cvsweb.cgi/ports/lang/python/files/

It's now using GIFs instead of JPEGs. This is similar to replacing
triangular wheels with round ones.
