So what is this bit of the atacontrol man page about then ?
Allthough the ATA driver allows for creating an ATA RAID on
disks on any controller, there are restrictions. It is only pos
sible to boot on an array if its either located on a "real" ATA
It seems to be about RAID on standard non-raid controllers to my
poor eye. It does not mention that they will not work, only that there
are boot restrictions.
