The following reply was made to PR ports/163676; it has been noted by GNATS. From: Michael Scheidell <scheidell@freebsd.org> To: <bug-followup@FreeBSD.org>, <komarov@valerka.net>, Gabor Kovesdan <gabor@FreeBSD.org> Cc: Subject: Re: ports/163676: [MAINTAINER UPDATE] devel/ruby-thrift Date: Thu, 29 Dec 2011 07:23:58 -0500 --------------040505050106030200020802 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="ISO-8859-1"; format=flowed Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit ruby@: (whoever you are :-) I would like to coordinate these commits, http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=163131 upgrade thrift to 0.8.0 http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=163677 p5-thrift to 0.8.0 http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=163676 this one (robo copy?) http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=163678 php5-thrift to 0.8.0 http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=163683> py-thrift to 0.8.0 since it is likely that devel/thrift upgrade will cascade into breaking this one. (it happened when I committed 0.7.0 and didn't check downstream ports) I will try these, once at a time, and try to make sure they don't, but due to the complex interaction between all of these, it might. If it does break ruby-thrift, I will wait till you are ready to approve/and or commit these. If I have any tweaks to this I'll post them here. -- Michael Scheidell, CTO o: 561-999-5000 d: 561-948-2259 >*| *SECNAP Network Security Corporation * Best Mobile Solutions Product of 2011 * Best Intrusion Prevention Product * Hot Company Finalist 2011 * Best Email Security Product * Certified SNORT Integrator --------------040505050106030200020802 Content-Type: text/html; charset="ISO-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit

ruby@: (whoever you are :-)

I would like to coordinate these commits,

http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=163131 upgrade thrift to 0.8.0
http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=163677 p5-thrift to 0.8.0
http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=163676 this one (robo copy?)
http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=163678 php5-thrift to 0.8.0
http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=163683> py-thrift to 0.8.0

since it is likely that devel/thrift upgrade will cascade into breaking this one.
