That is not actualy acurate.  No I doubt a gun, but a price tag is almost
as bad.  It was (still is) common practice for MS to offer a busness a
LARGE discount on the OEM licence for Windows to OEMs that agreed to:

1. Ship Windows preinstalled
2. Do not ship any systems with any other OS  (originaly this was to
squash OS/2)

In an industry where a couple hundred dollers makes all the diffents in
making a sale, this method works quite well.
