Hello Walnut Creek CDROM Support,
I have a complaint and/or question regarding the availability of Partition Magic with your FreeBSD distribution.
I recently purchased the "BSD Desktop Edition" (FreeBSD OS 4.1) at a nearby CompUSA. This 4 CD kit includes PowerQuest's Partition Magic Special Edition on the 4th "Extra Packages" CD. But when I attempted to install and run Partition Magic I found that the apparently some file(s) of Partition Magic are missing.
According to the directions in the "ReadMe", after I installed and re-booted I should have been able to start the Prep OS utility and defined a partition for another OS. But there didn't appear to be any icon in the "PartitionMagic OS Prep Tool" START menu folder to do this as there was only the following choices: "Delete FreeBSD Partition", "PowerQuest Web Site", "ReadMe" and "Uninstall PartitionMagic" . And there appeared to be no obvious application to execute to start it all off either.
Here's the details:
After installation the PM OS files on my hard disk are as follows:
Volume in drive C is HP_PAVILION
Volume Serial Number is 1D73-11EB
