I'm using whatever version of BIND is in the contrib branch of the main FreeBSD source tree, cvsup'ed a few days ago. I have no reverse DNS entry for myself. I have a zone file which maps a bunch of 192.168.1.0/0xffffff00 addresses to host names, and when I use nslookup or host on the name, it finds the address. However, nslookup on the address fails to find a hostname. This is causing all sorts of login hell using telnet on my private network. How can I make sure my server will respond to reverse DNS queries? -- Andrew Hesford ajh3@chmod.ath.cx To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
