https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D274687 Bug ID: 274687 Summary: [patch] Handbook - Chapter 26 - potentially misleading note Product: Documentation Version: Latest Hardware: Any OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Many People Priority: --- Component: Books & Articles Assignee: doc@FreeBSD.org Reporter: tomasz@kramkow.ski Created attachment 245841 --> https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/attachment.cgi?id=3D245841&action= =3Dedit [PATCH] Un-note initial invocation of `freebsd-install` I reported this via the mailing list[0] and mentioned providing a patch. This patch addresses the issue of the instructions for section 26.2.3 "Performing Minor and Major Version Upgrades" mentioning that `freebsd-inst= all` must be ran for the first time to patch the kernel and kernel modules only = in a note. The note is now truly just a note and the rest of the document reads as expected.
