cperciva 2005-12-29 07:20:23 UTC FreeBSD projects repository Modified files: . README Added files: portsnap README pmirror.sh Log: I finally have some portsnap mirroring code which I like and am not embarrassed to have people look at. :-) NOTE: Even if you already run FreeBSD FTP, CVSup, and WWW mirrors, this is not an invitation to start running a portsnap mirror as well. There is nothing to stop you from mirroring from portsnap[12].freebsd.org, but since mirroring consumes ~5GB/month of bandwidth while updating a single machine consumes ~5MB/month of bandwidth, adding unnecessary mirrors is likely to increase rather than decrease the load on the official mirrors. If in doubt, talk to me first. Revision Changes Path 1.14 +1 -0 projects/README 1.1 +8 -0 projects/portsnap/README (new) 1.1 +331 -0 projects/portsnap/pmirror.sh (new)
