IMHO one of the problems of freebsd.org is that content is not well organized, the homepage presents a lot of links and people can be confused. I'm not criticizing Chris' work of course, but I'd like to point out that probably we need to rewrite the page _structure_ and discuss about content organization before _adding_ things. The grey bar is ok (and simple to implement with an inline list and a background-image) but IMHO it duplicates something that doesn't need to be duplicated, just improved. What are the goals of the redesign ? I'd argue that first of all FreeBSD needs a _simple_ site, usable by everyone, and an accessible site (I've seen a blind system administrator working with FreeBSD and I assure you that he works 10 times faster than me, so there's no reason to slow him down with a non-accessible website :)). Making the site "more professional" is just _one_ possible goal, as far as I'm concerned not even the most important.
