To reinforce this - I've just upgraded my 2.2-STABLE box to 3.0-CURRENT
by following the buildworld / installworld, build kernel, sort out /etc
route with very little trouble.

I must confess that the new named caught me out, but other than that
things went far more smoothly than I had anticipated.
