There's no jdk 1.4.2 for FreeBSD/amd64, so only choice to go with native FreeBSD/amd64 -- is jdk15. But actually, I not sure if we'll have java plugin for amd64 -- Sun's sources restrict possiblity build of plugin for 32bit systems only -- so it's issue of separate research.
