(I answered this in private email, but the gist of it was "I still need

Sort of, but I'm not sure it's right.  If someone who understands NFS
locking could have a look at src/release/doc/en_US.ISO8859-1/relnotes/
common/new.sgml and let me know, I'd appreciate it.  (Just load it into
your favorite editor and look for "NFS"...there aren't that many
instances of it.)  This is one of the (many) areas of FreeBSD where I'm
lacking in clue, so more eyeballs would be good.
