When I look at the commit message (http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/cvsweb.cgi/src/sys/modules/Makefile?rev=1.165&content-type=text/x-cvsweb-markup), I assume it was just not removed from loader.conf by accident (or in the hope it will be fixes soon).
