Hmm, not sure what happened last time here, but I've tried it now with a single nameserver, a space separated list of nameservers and a mix of name_servers and name_servers_append entries and it worked perfectly. It also eliminated duplicate entries in name_servers and name_servers_append, preferring the one in name_servers.
