Ok.. I just installed Amancio's linux_ioctl-3.0-current.tar.gz then tried running Linux Quake2. It works great for multiplayer! There's a known problem with the linux quake2 binary - the Multiplayer 'join network server' menu is broken and Zoid knows about it and will supposedly fix it in the next release. If you just use 'connect servername.blahblah.com' on the console, it'll work. (Didn't get a chance to try it in single player mode since my CD is at home and I'm at work right now) I could only get it to run in a window under X. I can't seem to get it to work with svgalib - I get this error when I try that (Yes, I installed Amancio's svgalib pack): Not running in graphics capable virtual console. Can whoever has Quake2 running in svgalib mode (i.e. not in GL mode and not in X11 mode) please post their /compat/linux/etc/vga/libvga.config to the list? *********** NewOrderDepecheModeUltravoxViolentFemmesKillingJoke ************* * Ken * NineInchNailsFront242TangerineDreamTheBreedersTekno * * * Krebs * SkinnyPuppyLaTourBauhausBookOfLoveModernEnglishB52s * * *********** FishBoneBigCountryJoyDivisonSiouxsie&TheBansheesXTC ************* ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ IRC: Schrade E-Mail: schrade@schrade.com <URL:http://www.schrade.com/> To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-multimedia" in the body of the message
