It has 3 = 4.3-GB WIDE ULTRA SCSI Discs mounted on a disk array. FreeBSD-2.2.6 never detected any disks. Release 4.0 detects them but = after copying the files this error keeps appearing. Remaking all devices; then MAKEDEV returned a non-zero status ; then Some errors occured setup not completed successfully. But sometime the files are copied correctly but when booting the system = complains that there is no bootable kernel. What can be the cause of this problem. Previously there was Windows NT running on this server but I want to = kick it out for good. Could it be that NT did something fishy to my disk. Help please, Ganizani. ------=_NextPart_000_0005_01BFC0D2.DC0678A0 Content-Type: text/html; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN"> <HTML><HEAD> <META content=3D"text/html; charset=3Diso-8859-1" = http-equiv=3DContent-Type> <META content=3D"MSHTML 5.00.2314.1000" name=3DGENERATOR> <STYLE></STYLE> </HEAD> <BODY bgColor=3D#ffffff> <DIV><FONT face=3DArial size=3D2>I am installing FreeBSD-4.0 on my = Compaq Proliant=20 Server.
