This works around the problem that some committers commented on
earlier this week.  There's still a little bug-ette that will cause
each log message to be written to all the log files touched by
the commit instead of just that one - I'm working on that.  It's no
worse than before except that now they will appear as separate log
message instead of part of an aggregate log message.  They can be
matched by the 'username  date' header line.
