Well, the announcement needs its own page, possibly the wiki. Then there would be a short mention on the main page pointing to that. Code bounties are a whole separate matter. For now, I think there are a lot of people who would be interested in just knowing the present status. And some of them would be motivated to get involved by such an announcement.help
