Is subr_bus.c > *really* trying to allocate 0xffffff device_t pointers and set them > all except the last to NULL ? That's 67Mb of memory. No, I mistyped the command line. When I actually type the above the device_t * malloc fails (M_NOWAIT). As it turns out, because struct ifnet's if_unit is a short, allocating a tun unit > 32767 fails, but unfortunately (due to another bug) creates an interface with a wrapped unit number. I guess this provides a practical limit unit as far as tun is concerned. -- Brian <brian@Awfulhak.org> <brian@[uk.]FreeBSD.org> <http://www.Awfulhak.org> <brian@[uk.]OpenBSD.org> Don't _EVER_ lose your sense of humour !
