Well, that built OK, but the resulting kernel panic'd
(the same way) with or without the TARGET_CPUTYPE in there:

  Mounting root from ufs:/dev/ad0s4a
  exec /sbin/init : error 8
  ...
  init: not found in path
  panic: no init


I guess I'll try again after cvsup'ing and then give it up, get
an i386 CDROM, and try "upgrading" with that.
