The SCA adapter can plug into either a narrow cable or wide cable. Hmm, here is what I have tested this drive on: windows pc with adaptec 2940uw (uw) - scsi bus resets alphastation 200 with adaptec 2940uw (uw) - what you saw Just now I booted my AS200 with the hitachi disk plugged into the onboard NCR controller (fast narrow).
