Hi everyone, I asked the same question on the kismet list the other day and was not able to get any concrete answers, so I'm hoping someone here can shed some light. I've built kismet from source with the latest stable code, with the latest snapshot code, and from the port. They all start fine (though the port doesn't seem to actually install SUID, but that's nothing that sudo won't fix) but never log a single packet. I'm using an Orinoco Gold at device wi0, set to channel hop. I've also tried setting it to not hop on the channel of a known AP that is sending out broadcasts and it still doesn't pick up anything - no access points, no packets, not even garbage packets or beacons. Can someone either help me with what I'm doing wrong, or point me towards a card that fits at least some of 1. works with Kismet on Freebsd 2. has an external antenna jack (already have an antenna for my Orinoco) and 3. Supports WAP? I swear this card used to work fine, even relatively recently, like back in February or March. When I built from source I configured with --enable-syspcap and used source=radiotap_fbsd_b,wi0,wtapb,10 as my source. Can someone please point me in the right direction, I feel like I'm missing something here. Thanks in advance, Fish
