Odd, as my experiences in the past have been rather different. In fairness, I may not have done this since the addition of the -o option to pkg_*. However, I note that Nate has been using the current ports tree with 2.2.x with just a few minor tweaks, so I'm not sure why this is so impossibly difficult for you to manage. New-bus is by no means simple, so I'm sure if you can grok that you have the capacity to grok the ports tree. I don't think the ports tree is so overly complex that an admin can't figure it out and hack any small roadblocks he or she may encounter. Also, patches to fix these small problems that crop up by judicious use of FreeBSD_version are as always appreciated. > Paul. -- John Baldwin <jhb@FreeBSD.org> -- http://www.FreeBSD.org/~jhb/ PGP Key: http://www.baldwin.cx/~john/pgpkey.asc "Power Users Use the Power to Serve!" - http://www.FreeBSD.org/ To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe cvs-all" in the body of the message
