I am unable to boot one of my systems with ATAPICAM in the kernel. It hangs during the probe. The system is a K6-3 in an ASUS P5A mobo. Disk configuration is: ad0: 13031MB <FUJITSU MPE3136AT> [26476/16/63] at ata0-master UDMA33 ad1: No slave device ad2: 13029MB <Maxtor 91366U4> [26473/16/63] at ata1-master UDMA33 acd0: (ata1 slave) CDROM <SONY CD-ROM CDU4821> at ata1-slave UDMA33 Without ATAPICAM, the system boot correctly. PR kern/61370 contains the verbose console output of a boot attempt. I had hoped that the latest ATA patches might have fixed this, but not luck. No kernel built since ATAng was put in place has worked. -- R. Kevin Oberman, Network Engineer Energy Sciences Network (ESnet) Ernest O.
