I recently got a Baracuda harddrive and a SCSI AHA154-family SCSI card by Adaptec. When I attempt to install, the kernel boots from the CD-ROM (I'm installing from that - the CD-ROM) and finds my harddrive as device aha0 but after the kernel is done loading and the installation program has started, then probed the system, and I select partition from the setup menu, it claims there are not harddrives present. I've also tried starting the kernel configuration before loading it and deleting all the other drivers except for Adaptec 154x series ISA SCSI controllers so I don't get any CONFs, but still, I cannot partition the drive because it says there isn't one there. I've never installed FreeBSD before and don't have much experience. I would appreciate any help!
