I agree with Barney, haven't seen anything published that would argue
against larger initial windows, and since it passed the bar in TSVWG, it
should go into the stack. (As should the Eifel mods, once they pass.)
BSD used to be the platform of choice for networking research, but it's
slowly being surpassed by Linux, which tends to have implementations for
new features faster these days.
I'm not saying that FreeBSD should deliberately try to add experimental
features to its network stack, but once something becomes an RFC, it is
beyond discussion as far as the IETF is concerned, and supporting it can
only be a good thing IMO.
