A Google search on +freebsd +ipfw +bridge should get you a ton of pages on how to do exactly that. But the short answer is yes, you can have an addressless firewall using bridging and filter in both directions. You could also do that using IPF if you don't want to learn ipfw. -----Original Message----- From: Steve Wingate [mailto:steve@velosystems.net] Sent: Friday, December 28, 2001 3:16 AM To: FreeBSD-questions Subject: Bridging with freebsd/ipfilter Does FreeBSD support bridging with ipfilter? If so, does it filter on the 'out' direction also? Any gotchas or online tutorials? Most of the Google output seems outdated. I'm looking to move my openbsd/ipfilter box (not a bridge) to a freebsd bridge, but I'd rather stick with ipfilter since I'm comfortable with it and it does what I want.=20 To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
