  Thanks for your answer to my question. The version of FreeBSD that I'm 
trying to install is 2.1.0. I download this version from :
ftp.freebsd.com  /pub/FreeBSD/2.1.0-RELEASE
I make a copy of the boot disk from: ../floppies/boot.flp
  When I give the boot the software recognize the floppy drive but don't 
recognize the SCSI AHA 2940 Controller.
