https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=276393 Bug ID: 276393 Summary: The latest trim of UPDATING wiped out an entry of upgrading Perl Product: Documentation Version: Latest Hardware: Any OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Many People Priority: --- Component: Books & Articles Assignee: doc@FreeBSD.org Reporter: vrurg@lflat.org Entries that related to upgrading Perl used to refer to an old entry with detailed description of how to upgrade not only the perl5 port alone but all its dependencies, including those required its shared lib. Unfortunately, the last trim simply cut off that entry without moving its content somewhere where it can still serve users. I do understand the certain push towards binary packages, but to those who still need ports collection it poses certain inconveniences when it comes to recalling the `pkg shlib` command. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.home | help
