I have a 3.0 snapshot cd. I installed it (it installed fine). I find the sysinstall program a bit too dangerous... What I want is to see what packages are available to install (I'm willing to do a pkg_add -p /usr/local <>). I also don't want to execute any commands as root (I have /usr/local chmod to 777.) I read the handbook and faq, and it didn't say much on how to deal with packages (unless you wanted to write a new port...lots of information on that). marty leisner@sdsp.mc.xerox.com Don't confuse education with schooling.
