I would like to gain
perspectives on slicing
up hard drive space.
IE How much space for
/user / etc......
I have 16 gigs of space available
12gig UDMA Hard Drive
4Gig SCSI Hard Drive
It is going to be a workstation(xwindows),
web server(+-20 sites) , ftp server,
DNS server, and Development Machine,
+-50 users (telnet),etc. ) Basically I
have 16gig of space to use with the
following file systems plus the standard
unix file system.
/home --home directories--
/development--Software Developers
/apps 3 party application (netscape, oracle, etc)
/mnt NFS mount area
/prd Production deveolpers code
/tst Testing area
/development /tst and /prd currently
take up 500MB total /home has a
quota of 20MB.
JOHN
PS I heard there was a discussion simular
to this last month......however I was unable
to finda thread.
