Hi, Perhaps i'm just being a newbie when trying to use a simple tar option all I do is generate an error message :~( I want to get a listing of the contents of tar-ed file. I try the following: # tar t blah.tar But all I get is: tar: can't open /dev/rsa0 : Device not configured I understand that it tries to find a tape device or something (it was originaly destined for tape-archiving, after all) but why? All I'm asking is a table of contents on my monitor.. Can anyone help me out, here? thanks, Dimitri ________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-newbies" in the body of the message
