Yes, it's correct, though you can simply say "merged" :)

About Newcons, I don't know if it will be merged to 9.x. I CC'd ray@,
who's working on this topic.

Unfortunately, Newcons has nothing to do with Haswell support. kib@ has
started to update our Intel driver but this won't be available in
10.0-RELEASE.
