I started getting this today, with a fresh CVSup (from 4.0-R to 4.1-S) on the system running sshd. Interestingly enough, using a 4.1-S system that was about two weeks old as a client would exhibit this problem when logging into the updated server; as soon as I upgraded the client machine to 4.1-S (at noon today, 24-Sep) the problems went away. I am, however, still left with one machine that won't log into the server anymore... an OpenVMS box running FISH (SSH v1 only). That produces the timeout error (and no prompt to enter a password, as it normally produces). Tried switching the protocol support (in sshd_config) to 1,2 and just 1, but to no avail... have had to enable telnet for the time being. :-( > Kris :Gareth -- Gravissima calamitas umquam supra | Gareth Boulton Occidentem accidens erat religio Christiana | [Gore Vidal, 1987 CE] | gboulton(@)bigfoot(.)com To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-stable" in the body of the message
