OK, even after installing x11-drivers/xf86-video-fbdev, startx(1) still does not work for me, with this message in /var/log/Xorg.0.log: (II) Loading sub module "fbdevhw" (II) LoadModule: "fbdevhw" (II) Loading /usr/local/lib/xorg/modules/linux/libfbdevhw.so (EE) LoadModule: Module fbdevhw does not have a fbdevhwModuleData data object. ./danfe
