i made a clean install of freebsd 5.0-release in my home machine and i am having trouble setting up my box for dial-up access to the internet. my modem is connected to com4 but my dmesg entry shows that the kernel is only tracking up to com2. i tried looking at my kernel configuration file but it is only showing one line for serial devices (device sio). how can i get around this? i remember that setting it up in the 4.x series was much easier. TIA.
