The sk driver in FreeBSD is less than ideal, and the vendor is not interested in providing information for better support. I would highly recommend you get a different card, or try to use the drivers SysKonnect provide on their web site (though they are only for 5.1-R and 5.2-R, I'm not sure if they support amd64 or not)...
