In my ppp.conf following string:

	set log +Connect tun

When modem connect - in /var/log/ppp.log appear string:
...
Jun 15 09:00:51 freebsd ppp[6540]: tun0: Connect: Received: CONNECT
33600/ARQ/V34/LAPM/V42BIS^M
....
