Your ports are ok for me. I installed them some time ago and did an upgrade to the latest releases as your version didn't play any music. As stated on the rhythmbox website "gst-launch-ext file.mp3" should start playing the mp3 (using madplay). On my system gst-launch-ext reports an error with the given parameters. I didn't have the time to track it down but tried to replace gst-launch-ext with mpg123 just by adding a link (ln -s `which mpg123` ~/bin/gst-launch-ext (~/bin in $PATH before anything else)). It didn't work for rhytmbox and it reported an "ossink" error. As I want to replace my current mp3 library app (zinf) with rhythmbox I'll investigate further and report success (if successful :)).
