Hi all.
I buy MS Wireless Optical Desktop Pro set (wireless keyboard and
mouse), plug it into usb port and have some problems with it. Keyboard
work, but mouse not. I got different behaviors every time when I boot.
1. ukbd attached, ums attached (ums0), but 'cat /dev/ums0' not display anything.
2. ukbd attached, ums attach fail with code 6. I not have /dev/ums0 device
3. ukdb attached, mouse not found, so ums don't try to attach
I make some exploration about this problem:
1. If remove 'device ukbd' && 'ums' from kernel config, and leave
'uhid', then after boot I have 2 devices: uhid0 & uhid1. 'cat
/dev/uhid0' print data from keyboard and 'cat /dev/uhid1' from mouse,
so devices working.
2. I put some debug code, and discover that mouse driver fail in
function usbd_get_report_descriptor() with result USBD_IOERROR.
Also sometimes I have strange device description:
Dec 19 23:02:23 woody kernel: ums0: Microsoft Microsoft Wireless
Desktop® 1.00, rev 2.00/73.73, addr 2, iclass 3/1
Dec 19 23:24:51 woody kernel: uhid0: Microsoft Microsoft WOptical
Desktop® 1.00, rev 2.00/73.73, addr 2, iclass 3/1
Dec 19 23:37:24 woody kernel: ukbd0: Microsoft product 0x008a, rev
2.00/73.73, addr 2, iclass 3/1
while correct description will be:
Dec 19 23:26:52 woody kernel: uhid0: Microsoft Microsoft Wireless
Optical Desktop® 1.00, rev 2.00/73.73, addr 2, iclass 3/1
Here is my dmesg.
ums0 - it's mouse from set, ums1 - MS Wireless Intellimouse Explorer.
All test I do with second mouse unpluged.
Can anyone help me solve this problem?
PS I know that I can plug set into ps/2 port, but I want use it with
notebook, which have only usb.
PPS Sorry for my poor english.
