Now it reads it all, and it is possible that VPD data in your card is broken. If you boot verbose with old -CURRENT, can you see 'bad VPD resource id' messages? Linux sk98lin driver had some workarounds for 'buggy ASUS VPD on K8V Deluxe' (http://www.ussg.iu.edu/hypermail/linux/kernel/0404.3/0090.html). I'm not shure, is it applicable to your MB. Yuriy.
