Hi,
I have a big problem with installation of your Free BSD 1.1.5. Here is the case:
I have a QUANTUM BIGFOOT disk with physical geometry 4994 cyls./16 hds./63 sects./512 bytes.
Of course it is with the LBA mode on because of the disk's size. I have a MSDOS/Windows 95
partitions and 500Mb free unused space at the end of the disk. When I tried the installation
and the procedure found my physical geometry, also the free space. When it asked me for the
disk geometry, I gave it my LBA translated geometry - 624 cyls./128 hds./63 sects./512 bytes.
And here is the problem - the installation started, and the system said that it cannot access
128 hds. through the controller, switched to 16 hds. and went in endless loop of error messages,
saying that the parameters of the disk are incorrect. Of course I rebooted. I've heard good
things about Free BSD, and I would like to have it on my disk, so if you have time, please
write me a step-by-step instruction what to do. I can repartition my disk with PQMAGIC to
make the 500Mb free space at the very beginning of the disk. Please answer me on this e-mail!

Thanks,
.............
