Hi I am trying to turn on NFS serving on a running production machine that I cannot reboot right now. I run, as root # nfsd -u -t -n 4 # mountd -r Clients cannot mount, and after several minutes, mountd dies and gives the message in the system log mountd[53312]: can't register mount What exactly does this mean? Could it be an artifact from being at runlevel 3? Thanks Chad To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
