Dear Michael, Am 04.12.2024 um 15:06 schrieb Osipov, Michael: > Looks very tight, no? 20 days to switch? not sure, why you need to switch in 20 days. Even if the package is removed of the FreeBSD servers, it will not delete it from your installed systems. Only by 1.1.2025 (or a little bit later) you will not be able to install solr8 on a new system. If you want to be absolutely sure, you can store the latest pkg for apache-solr8 as file on your local system, so you can install it any time you want. Apache Solr 8 is deprecated by 25.10.2024, so I do not see, why we should give it more time. It is even dangerous as security related issues will not be fixed anymore on version 8.
