not sure, why you need to switch in 20 days.
Even if the package is removed of the FreeBSD servers, it will not 
delete it from your installed systems.

Only by 1.1.2025 (or a little bit later) you will not be able to install 
solr8 on a new system.

If you want to be absolutely sure, you can store the latest pkg for 
apache-solr8 as file on your local system, so you can install it any 
time you want.

Apache Solr 8 is deprecated by 25.10.2024, so I do not see, why we 
should give it more time.
It is even dangerous as security related issues will not be fixed 
anymore on version 8.
