Moritz Schmitt <moritz@tarsius.org> probably said: > I need some help in choosing a FreeBSD compatible PCMCIA network card > and modem. Somebody told as a network card the Linksys PCM100 would be > a good bet, any experiences? If you don't need 100Mbit, the 3com 3c589 works with pretty much anything. I keep a couple spare kicking around for installations and such. You can find them cheap used, like here; http://www.pc-pitstop.com/products/useditems.asp for $16 (with a 10bT/10b2 dongle) and you can still buy spare 10bT only dongles direct from 3com for $6 each. I'm a happy pc-pitstop customer too, btw. P. -- pir pir@pir.net pir@net.tufts.edu To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-mobile" in the body of the message
