We don't support 4.0 for security advisories..the patch applies to 4.2-RELEASE, but I didn't test earlier releases. This should probably have been more explicit in the advisory. If you ask nicely, someone may generate you an unofficial patch against 4.0, otherwise you'll have to upgrade or do it yourself.
