Hi, Is it possible to disklabel a logical partition? We tried to disklabel the first logical partition as disklabel -w /dev/rsd0s5 auto and got "not a generic disktype -- cannot use auto" or something similar. This was on a FreeBSD 2.1.7 box, the device files /dev/rsd0s5 and /dev/sd0s5 were created by sh MAKEDEV sd0s5 The extended and first logical partition were created by Linux utilities. I am using "partition" instead of "slice" in this question because the terms "extended slice" and "logical slice" don't sound familiar (yet). Any tips appreciating Wolfgang
